2010 Summer Performance Season

Renowned choreographer Xiao-xiong Zhang draws inspiration from the Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi  for The Butterfly Dream, an international collaboration performed by world-class dancers from Nimbus Dance Works and the Taipei Crossover Dance Company. The work features new music composed by New York City-based composer Judd Greenstein, performed live by the NOW Ensemble. Performances  also feature the visually arresting Puzzle Pieces, choreographed by Artistic Director Samuel Pott to music by Blue Note Jazz composer Aaron Parks. The program is rounded out by Nimbus’ signature work, Memo, which draws on contributions from audience members and historic images to investigate memory through movement.
