(Modena, Italy), started dancing with Annarita Ronconi, focusing on the ISTD exams of modern dance completing the highest exam with "distinction". Mr. Bavutti trained in theatre dance, tap, improvisation, jazz, and contemporary. He performed with Weltanschauung Dance Company under the artistic direction of Ms. Ronconi. Mr. Bavutti was awarded 1st prize soloist at "Norcia in Danza" national competition, and 1st prize duet at the "International Dance Competition City of Milan".
Mr. Bavutti graduated from the Professional Training Program at the Martha Graham School where he performed "Celebration" at the New York City Center during Martha Graham Dance Company’s 90th season and continued on to dance for Martha Graham 2 Dance Company. He is entering his first season with Nimbus Dance Works as a apprentice.
(Washington, DC) is a graduate of Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Mr. Louis attend the Ailey School as a recipient of the Oprah Winfrey scholarship and furthered his dance education at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival under the direction of Milton Myers. Throughout his training, Mr. Louis performed works by notable choreographers including Alvin Ailey, Matthew Rushing, Christopher Huggins, Helen Pickett and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. He has also performed as a member of Ballet Hispanico’s junior company, BHdos. Mr. Louis is joining Nimbus Dance Works as a first year company member.
(Los Angeles County, CA) began dancing at Fine Arts Academy of Dance. She has also received training at Joffrey Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Los Angeles Ballet, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. After high school Ms. Nguyen studied at The Ailey School and was a guest dancer with Armitage Gone! Dance for the U.S. premiere of Rave. She went on to receive a BFA in Dance Performance and Minor in Management from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). While at UCI, she had the privilege to work with choreographers like Donald McKayle, Molly Lynch, Boroka Nagy, Jennifer McQuiston-Lott, and Will Johnston. Ms. Nguyen has performed with Re:borN Dance Interactive, Nouveau Chamber Ballet, iKADA Contemporary Dance Company, and Nimbus2. Ms. Nguyen serves as The Junior Youth Ensemble Director for the School of Nimbus Dance Works and is excited to be joining Nimbus Dance Works Main Company this season as an apprentice.
(Toronto, Ontario) attended Cawthra Park Secondary School in the regional arts program for dance. While attending school, Mr. Nichols was a company member of the Canadian Contemporary Dance Theater performing works by Colin Connor, Alexander Whitley, Carol Anderson, Santee Smith and many more. This led him to attend the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College where he graduated cum laude with a B.F.A in dance. While attending the Conservatory of Dance, Mr. Nichols performed works by Tom Weinberger, Aszure Barton, and Rosalind Newman, to name a few. Mr. Nichols furthered his studies by attending summer programs at Springboard Danse Montreal, The School at Jacob's Pillow, and The Movement Invention Project. Mr. Nichols is excited to start his first season with Nimbus Dance Works.
(Orlando, FL) received his BFA from New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL. graduating Summa Cum Laude and Salutatorian. He was a member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle corp., The Knights Independent and Braddock Independent World Guard. He has danced with Walt Disney World Entertainment, Nao Dance Collective, Surfscape Contemporary Dance Theatre, VarieTEASE, and Ballet Inc.
Mr. Perez has taught at Daytona State College, New Jersey City University, New World School of the Arts High School, and Miami Jewish Health System. Mr. Perez has Directed cologuard programs at Ocoee High School, New Smyrna Beach High School and Rutgers University. Mr. Perez was the Creative Director of Change Through Dance, Inc. (CTD) and was the Program Director for Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, LA, Texas and Georgia. He is proud to serve as the Director of Operations for Nimbus Dance Works. This is Mr. Perez’s fifth season with Nimbus.
(New York, NY) began her training at The Dance Theatre of Harlem School under the direction of Arthur Mitchell. After completing the Walnut Hill Summer Intensive, Ms. Roney was invited to study on scholarship year round at Walnut Hill School of the Arts under the direction of Michael Owen. She attended The Ailey School as a Fellowship Student and School of Steps, The Lines Ballet School, Joffrey Ballet Chicago and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, on scholarship. Ms. Roney worked as a trainee with Dance Theatre of Harlem and had the opportunity to perform with BalletNext under the direction of Michele Wiles. Ms. Roney has assisted choreographer Nia Love in Tanzania, Africa sponsored by the New York Live Arts 2013 Suit Case Fund and at American Dance Festival Summer and Winter Intensives. Ms. Roney is mentored by dance artists such as Nia Love, Marjorie Liebert and Misty Copeland. This will be Ms. Roney’s first season with Nimbus Dance Works as an Apprentice.
(Toronto, Canada) began training competitively at age 3 at the Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance. Ms. Santaguida has completed up to the Advanced II level of Ballet Examinations of the Cecchetti Technique. She has attended summer programs at The Juilliard School, the National Ballet of Canada and the Joffrey Ballet School. Upon graduating from the Regional Arts Program at Cawthra Park Secondary School, Ms. Santaguida moved to New York City and worked closely under Stacy Caddell, Nicole Duffy, Sam Meredith and Brian McSween. Ms. Santaguida has been featured in works by Gerald Arpino and George Balanchine, and original works by Africa Guzman, Dwight Rhoden, Roger Jeffrey, Gabrielle Lamb and Davis Robertson. Ms. Santaguida has danced with Joffrey Ballet Concert group and Complexions Contemporary Ballet under the direction of Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson. Victoria is currently a dancer with Nimbus Dance Works.
(Iowa City, IA) attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Alonzo King Lines Ballet Training Program, the University of Iowa, and City Ballet of Iowa performing works by Maurya Kerr, Iratxe Ansa, Uri Sands, Susan McCullough and Ethan Stiefel. Ms. Weeks has performed with New Territory Dance Company, Trainor Dance, Button Universal Movement Project and in various projects for stage and screen by Alvon Reed and Eloy Barragan. Ms. Weeks serves as the Assistant Director of Programing for Nimbus Dance Works; she is thrilled to be returning for her 3rd season with Nimbus Dance Works.
(Belleville, Illinois) began her dance training at Midwest Dance Academy and Taylor’s Academy of Dance. She attended the University of South Carolina and graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a BA in dance. During her time at USC, she performed works by Tanya Wideman Davis, Thaddeus Davis, Shaun Boyle, Bryan Arias, Arturo Fernandez, and George Balanchine. Ms. White has attended summer programs with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Alonzo King Lines Ballet and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater summer programs on scholarship. Ms. White serves as the Nimbus Youth Ensemble Director for and is very excited to be joining Nimbus Dance Works as a company member for her first season.
