(Modena, Italy), started dancing with Annarita Ronconi, focusing on the ISTD exams of modern dance completing the highest exam with "distinction". Mr. Bavutti trained in theatre dance, tap, improvisation, jazz, and contemporary. He performed with Weltanschauung Dance Company under the artistic direction of Ms. Ronconi. Mr. Bavutti was awarded 1st prize soloist at "Norcia in Danza" national competition, and 1st prize duet at the "International Dance Competition City of Milan".
Mr. Bavutti graduated from the Professional Training Program at the Martha Graham School where he performed "Celebration" at the New York City Center during Martha Graham Dance Company’s 90th season and continued on to dance for Martha Graham 2 Dance Company. He is entering his second season with Nimbus Dance Works.
(St. Louis, MO) began his dance training at COCA (Center of the Creative Arts) in St. Louis. Mr. Belger continued his education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance, the Dance Theatre of Harlem, and The Ailey School as a scholarship recipient. He has performed with Columbia City Ballet, Opus Dance Theater, Wylliams Henry Dance Theater, Ballet Neo, Storling Dance Theater, and Norwegian Cruise Lines. This is Mr. Belger’s first season with Nimbus Dance Works.
LEIGH ANN CURD
(Orange County, NY) received her BFA from the Boston Conservatory on the Anamarie Sarazin Scholarship. While there, she was featured in new works created by Luis Fuenté, Gianni DiMarco, and Kathryn Posin, and she had the privilege of performing classic works by dance legends like Anthony Tudor and Martha Graham. She has performed as a guest principal in Tony Williams’ Ballet Rox and Urban Nutcracker, with Opera Boston, and has done freelance work with XT Danscollective. From 2012-2014, Ms. Curd had the opportunity to study and perform abroad in London, UK. Ms. Curd is a founding member of the Brooklyn-based dance company, Inclined Dance Project, where she is still a current dancer. LeighAnn began at Nimbus Dance Works as a dancer in Nimbus2 and is thrilled to be back for her second season as a Company Dancer.
(Port Au Prince, Haiti) was adopted when he was ten years old and began a new life in Los Angeles. While starting dancing relatively late in life, at eighteen, Mr. Mayo quickly fell in love with the craft. His passion for dance brought him to New York City in 2016, when he was awarded a full scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School. At Joffrey, Mr. Mayo trained and danced in the Jazz & Contemporary program. While a company member of Joffrey Elite, he appeared on a docu-series on awesomenessTV and performed at the Barclays Center, Dixon Place, McKenna Theatre, Plaza Del Sol Performance Hall, and Salvatore Capezio Theatre. Mr. Mayo joined Nimbus Dance Works as an apprentice in February 2018 and was promoted to the company in September 2018. He is proud to reside in the wonderfully diverse and cultural city of Brooklyn, NY.
(Orlando, FL) received his BFA from New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL. graduating Summa Cum Laude and Salutatorian. Mr. Perez has danced for Walt Disney World Entertainment, Nao Dance Collective, Surfscape Contemporary Dance Theatre, VarieTEASE, and Ballet Inc. He was a member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle corp., The Knights Independent, and Braddock Independent World Guard. Mr. Perez is entering his 6th season with the company and currently serves as the Associate Director of Nimbus2 and the Director of Operations for Nimbus Dance Works.
(Toronto, Canada) began training competitively at age three under Sheona Bell. Ms. Santaguida has completed up to the Advanced II level of Ballet Examinations of the Cecchetti Technique. She attended summer programs at The Juilliard School, the National Ballet of Canada, the Joffrey Ballet School, and Ballet Hispanico. Upon graduating from the Regional Arts Program at Cawthra Park Secondary School, Ms. Santaguida moved to New York City and worked closely under ballet masters Stacy Caddell, Nicole Duffy, Sam Meredith, and Brian McSween. Ms. Santaguida has been featured in works by Gerald Arpino and George Balanchine and in original works by Africa Guzman, Dwight Rhoden, Roger C. Jeffrey, Gabrielle Lamb, and Davis Robertson. She has danced with the Joffrey Ballet Concert group under the direction of Davis Robertson and with Complexions Contemporary Ballet under the direction of Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson. Ms. Santaguida is in her second season as a company dancer with Nimbus Dance Works and also serves as Junior Youth Ensemble Director for the School of Nimbus Dance Works.
(Iowa City, IA) attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Alonzo King Lines Ballet Training Program, the University of Iowa, Nolte Academy of Dance, and City Ballet of Iowa, performing works by Maurya Kerr, Iratxe Ansa, Uri Sands, Susan McCullough, and Ethan Stiefel. Ms. Weeks has performed with New Territory Dance Company, Trainor Dance, Button Universal Movement Project, and in various projects for stage and screen by Alvon Reed and Eloy Barragan. In her time with Nimbus, Ms. Weeks has premiered works by Darshan Singh Bhuller and Artistic Director Samuel Pott, as well as performing repertory by Korhan Basaran, Vernard Gilmore, Charles Moulton, and others. Ms. Weeks also serves as the Assistant Director of Programming for Nimbus Dance Works and is a recipient of the Nimbus Award for Service Through the Arts. She is thrilled to be returning for her 4th season with Nimbus Dance Works.
(Belleville, IL) began her dance training at Midwest Dance Academy and Taylor’s Academy of Dance. She attended the University of South Carolina and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in dance. Ms. White has performed works by Tanya Wideman Davis, Thaddeus Davis, Shaun Boyle, Bryan Arias, Arturo Fernandez, Vernard Gilmore, and George Balanchine. Ms. White has attended summer programs with Complexions Contemporary Ballet and both Alonzo King Lines Ballet and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater on scholarship. Ms. White serves as the Nimbus Youth Ensemble Director and is very excited to perform with Nimbus Dance Works for a second season.
